Terms of Service

Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Yestr Music, a mobile application provided by Stratega Mobile ("we," "us," or "our"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Yestr Music (16 in the European Economic Area). By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

Description of service

Yestr Music is a daily music-guessing game. Each day, the App presents a short audio preview of a song, and players attempt to guess the year of release by adjusting a year slider. The App also tracks player streaks, stats, and history.

The App is provided free of charge. There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases, or paid features. The App is supported by advertising delivered through Google AdMob.

Music previews

Audio previews used in the App are provided through publicly available APIs (currently the iTunes Search API). We do not host, distribute, or own the rights to the music itself. Music copyrights belong to their respective rights holders. Previews are typically 30 seconds or shorter, and we use only the brief excerpts permitted by these APIs for the purpose of song identification.

If a music preview becomes unavailable through the upstream API, that song may be temporarily unavailable in the App. We have no control over preview availability beyond what these public APIs provide.

Your account

The App creates an anonymous user account for you on first launch. This account stores your gameplay history and streaks. You may delete your account at any time from the App's Settings.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of the device you use to access the App.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
• Scrape, mine, or systematically extract data from the App
• Use the App to harass, defraud, or harm others
• Interfere with the App's operation, servers, or networks
• Attempt to bypass advertising, including through ad blockers, modified app binaries, or network manipulation
• Submit false reports, fake gameplay data, or otherwise manipulate scores and streaks

We may suspend or terminate access to users who violate these Terms.

Advertising

The App displays advertising as part of the free service. By using the App, you agree to receive advertising. We do not currently offer an ad-free version, and there is no plan to introduce one in the foreseeable future.

Ads are served by Google AdMob and may be personalized based on your device-level advertising settings, subject to the consent flows described in our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

The Yestr Music name, logo, app design, code, illustrations, and other materials we create are owned by Stratega Mobile and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute these materials without our written permission.

Music in the App is licensed to listeners through the platforms that provide the previews (iTunes / Apple Music). Yestr Music does not grant you any rights to the underlying recordings.

User-generated content in the App is limited to your guesses and any optional display name; you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use this information solely to operate the App.

Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific song or feature will be available at any given time.

The App is intended for entertainment. Information provided in the App about music and release years is best-effort and may contain inaccuracies.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stratega Mobile and its agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising out of or related to your use of the App.

Our total liability to you for any claim related to the App is limited to one hundred US dollars ($100), or the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, in which case they apply only to the extent permitted by local law.

Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
